I have my own studio space as well. It feels nice to spread all my stuff out and to work in my own quiet space. My cats like to hang out with me and watch me spin, or they sleep in the sun and relax. They are
very happy here. Jenny has a bit more trouble dealing with change but she has slowly been adjusting.
My floor loom has sat empty for a few years. My plans were to make baby blankets on them for my neice and nephews. I still have time. Its a 30" Kessenich Jack floor Loom. I wove a few tea towels in it when I first acquired it and really enjoyed it but I need to learn more about warping and how to fix mistakes before I want to start a new project on it.
Spindles *sigh*. This is my collection. There are of course more that I want, but I have pretty much everyone that I have lusted after. My favourite one would have to be my Sweetheart Golding (not in the picture). With my friends this summer, I have been getting into supported spindling more. I bought a Russian spindle at Olds a couple years ago and didn't get much practice but after taking a spindling class this year where I got to practice all morning spinning cotton on a bead spindle I started getting the hang of it. It also makes it easier to spin in the car :D
