From the newsletter of Wind Valley Muskox: I have a question for you: Have you ever held a piece of history in your hands? Usually, "history" feels heavy. It feels like old books or dusty museum shelves. But today? History feels like a cloud. A very, very rare, 20% Vicuna / 80% Cashmere kind of cloud. I am over-the-moon excited to introduce our newest kit. We’ve partnered with the incredible Susie Gourlay ~ a Canadian fiber powerhouse (she’s a wool judge, people! She knows her stuff) to bring you something that is equal parts rugged history and absolute luxury. The "Bankhead" Tribute Hat Susie lives in Saskatchewan. If you aren’t familiar with the Canadian prairies, let me paint a picture: It is cold. Not "I need a light sweater" cold. It’s "my eyelashes are freezing together" cold. She found her inspiration in Bankhead, an abandoned mining town nestled in Banff National Park. Here’s how she describes it: "The 2 parts of this hat remind me of the upper and lower Bankhead town... The simple pattern reflects the symmetry of train tracks and the mine shafts which scatter the mountainside. It’s a quiet tribute to a place once full of life and labor, now reclaimed by nature." One Kit. One Choice. (The Hard Part.)Our Bankhead Kit comes in three stunning shades, but you have to pick the one that speaks to your soul:
