Fibre Artist ~ Wool Judge ~ Professional Craftsperson
I live in the heart of the prairies in the province of Saskatchewan. Our winters are long, dark and very cold, which is why I spend most of my days trying to keep warm with natural fibres. Wool is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It has a good memory, is naturally antibacterial, it is also breathable and fire retardant. Wool is perfection found in nature. I also love alpaca, silk, angora, quivit and goat fibres.
I am a member of the Sask Craft Council, the Regina Weavers and Spinners Guild, the Saskatchewan Weaver and Spinners Guild, and Handmade Saskatchewan. I teach fibre arts classes at Cindy-Rella's Sewing and Quilting and I am a wool judge.
I strive to promote the benefits of natural fibres using classic methods to bring out their best qualities while creating style and function. Fibre is a passion and an addiction, it fills my mind 24/7. Creating a handmade object from start to finish is a very rewarding process for me, I use quality fibres and put my heart and soul into everything I make.
