Tour de Fleece 2015 Giveaway - Luxury Edition

7/4/2015

Thank you to everyone who played along!!!

For the past few years I have been doing an annual giveaway to celebrate the Tour de Fleece.  This coincides with the Tour de France and runs from July 4th to July 26th.  Spinners around the world set goal/challenges for themselves and spin during the tour.  I am usually a part of Team Golden Willow but this year I have also joined Team Canada.  Check out their awesome logo!
Anyways, onto the reason you are here - prizes!  This year I have rounded up a couple goodies and made a few packages you could win.

Spinners Prize:  Winner is Lisa!

A collection of some of the worlds finest fibres; 2 oz of Merino/Cashmere, a little batt of Angora/Silk (50/50), a Phil Powell supported spindle, a sample of Soak Wash in the Lacey scent and a nice little handmade spindle bag to hold it all.

I will be making the draws on Monday July 27th around 7:00 Sask time.  Watch my Facebook Page to see if you won.

Thanks and let's get spinning!

How generous of you, Susie! That Phil Powell spindle is beautiful. I'm thinking the spindle and bag would be happy at my house and the fibre looks it would make up into something special for my Mom. Have fun in the Tour de Fleece!

Thank you for playing Janice! Spinning is my most favourite thing. Relaxing, productive, time honored tradition, and knitting with handspun is just the best :)

Hi Susie, Lovely prizes - I have so far resisted the siren call of the spindle in favour of the wheel, but then I resisted the wheel for alot of years in favour of the loom, so.......
And I love that team logo. That would make a great poster for a studio wall.
Gerry sent me pictures of the little lovely that produced that beautiful fleece - she is so sweet. I haven't scoured it yet so I can enjoy it just as it is, although I have yet to arrange it on the coffee table. Having cats sometimes cramps my style:)

I'm more of a wheel spinner myself as I am a product spinner but spindles are a nice way to slow down a bit and really immerse yourself in the process. They are nice and portable and cheaper than wheels ;)

Your fleece you got at Olds was a very good choice. Gerry takes pride in her wool, you can't go wrong with any of her fleeces. I have 2 fibre cats, so I know what you mean about their need to "help" lol

Thanks for entering!

I would be happy to win any of the prizes, and if I won one I would give it to my mother. Who I'm pretty sure got her grey hair from trying to teach me to knit.

Just discovering your website now! It's probably too late to enter, haha, with only a day to go... I have almost finished up my challenges which was pretty much just to finish up 5 wips. The last one is in 3ply ball ready to go...

Spun on a Kundert, a Bossie, a Houndesign, a Kerryspindles, a Spindler's Cottage and then a Jenkins and a Subterrenean.
